We are commanded to go and share the Good News of Jesus Christ and care for all God’s people. Alleluia!
But, just what is that Good News?
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” --- John 3:16
“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” --- John 13:34-35
God’s gift of grace was given to everyone, not a select few. Jesus Christ did not say to love only those that met certain requirements.
As Lutheran Christians, we are commanded to love one another and model that love in all we do. Following Christ’s example of love and inclusion, we seek to build a strong and diverse faith community based on love, affirmation, mutual respect and service to others.
No matter who you are, who you love, or how you express your uniqueness, there is a place for you at our table.
